Section Numbers Changed: The numbering system throughout the manual shifted because the Maintenance sections were consolidated.
Old: Section 1.3 was "Daily Maintenance of the Neck Dam", 1.4 was "Monthly Maintenance", and 1.5 was "Neck Ring Assembly".
New: Section 1.3 is now "Inspection and Maintenance", with daily/monthly tasks categorized as subsections (1.3.1, 1.3.2, etc.). "Neck Ring Assembly" is moved up to Section 1.4.
New Subsection Additions: Sections 1.8.2.1 ("One Bolt"), 1.8.2.2 ("Two Bolt"), 1.8.2.3 ("Neck Pad Removal"), and 1.8.3 ("Neck Pad Installation") were newly added to the locking collar and neck pad procedures.

1.8 Locking Collar / 1.9 Locking Collar (Restructured)
Section Overhaul: The older section only detailed generic "Locking Collar Disassembly" and "Locking Collar Reassembly". The new version explicitly splits the assembly instructions depending on whether the helmet is a one-bolt or two-bolt configuration.
Technical Callouts: Text and diagram exploded view callouts were updated from "Teflon washers" to "hard plastic washers".
New Subsection Added (1.8.3 Neck Pad Installation): Detailed text instructions were added: "With the Locking Collar open or removed from the helmet, identify the flat side of the Neck Pad and slide it onto the Locking Collar. The flat side of the Locking Collar will be on the outside of the helmet and away from the helmet ring. The groove for the pull strap must face up and into the helmet when the Locking Collar is secured".
